I know nobody else does this but it would be really cool if you could make this happen.
I would like to be able to check guests in to a Walk status when we send a guest to another hotel. This would help us to account for walks, and ideally be able to manage them more easily if they are returning.
Right now, as soon as they are walked, it becomes a manual process. Currently, for one-nighters, we have to cancel the reservation, for multi-nighters, we have to change the arrival date for when they return to the hotel. There is no way to track walks within the system. With this function, we would, for lack of a better term, “check it in” to walked status, but so that it wouldn’t affect our occupancy, kind of a like a no-show. For one-nighters, this would be all, for multi-nighters, the user would be asked to plug in the return date, and the system would automatically flag the guest as “returning from a walk”, which is also kind of important to note on the account.
Again, this is just one of those wish list items that would be cool to have, but as you are developing SNT for the industry, this would be something that sets you apart from the others out there.
