Notes Pop-Up

Allow operator to attach a note / comment to a reservation and chose whether it pop ups at check-in / check-out and or every time they enter specific reservation.
This forces team to see sensitive notes.

The ability to easily attach a note/comment within a group would be helpful. 

Let's say a wedding reservation of 75 guests comes in and breakfast vouchers have been given to 30 individuals who make up the wedding party, the ability to easily attach a note/comment on those 30 reservations would be nice to have.

This would be incredibly helpful in making certain that action is taken on important items such as vouchers, comp parking cards, or other collateral that may need to be given to the guests at check-in or out.

This feature would be a huge help for our teams.  It is time consuming and tedious to have to go into each reservation for our large groups to put in notes that need to be applied to the entire group block.

I realize it was a conscious decision to not have pop-ups because guests can often see our screens while checking in.  But training on that knowledge would, I feel prevent any accidents, and  a toggle to make it a private note vs pop up would probably solve most of the problems.

It would be helpful if the group notes section also populated in the guest notes or actions section so that information can be more efficiently spread throughout the hotel.

The Sohotel NYC Request details:

 This function should be implemented and optional. If it could be toggled on and off in the settings it could appease all of your clients.


With that being said, Rover offers software for two style hotels:


  • The traditional style where a front desk clerk checks in a customer
  • Modern style where a person is doing a self-check-in via iPad in the lobby



Rover should rapidly work to fix this issue of not having pop-ups for their clients who have the rover software that isn’t presented to hotel guests.

JUST A THOUGHT, if this feature request ends up getting programmed, each note should be given the option to pop up or not.  this way ew are not navigating through notes that are more internal than it is pertinent to the check in.
