A Summary of “Email From Hotel” Activity
The Web Check-In Conversion By Day Report tracks room upsell numbers and compares those figures alongside the total number of successful web check-ins (aka mobile check-ins) on a day-to-day basis.
This report only tracks Email from Hotel activity. This is when the property initiates the web check-in process by sending an email to the reservation.
How do “Day Before Arrivals” Get Counted?
This report includes reservations that complete web check-in on the day of arrival and the day before arrival (if that option is offered). If a reservation completes web check-in on the day before arrival, the reservation is only factored into the report on the reservation’s actual arrival date.
For Example: A reservation's arrival date is November 11th, but the reservation completes web check-in the day before their arrival date (November 10th). Even though web check-in was completed on November 10th, this reservation will only appear as a stat for November 11th -- becuase November 11th is the reservation’s actual arrival date.
Room Upsells & Levels:
Room upgrades are segmented and ranked into three different upsell levels: Level 1 (lowest upsell price) to Level 3 (highest upsell price). Your property can manage room ranking and the upsell price for different room types from this page: Settings > Promos & Upsells > Upsell Rooms.
Guest Sent Email: The total number of reservations arriving on that date that were sent a mobile check-in email. How is this number calculated?
Upsell (Level 1 – Level 2): Reservations that upgraded from Level 1 to Level 2 rooms.
Upsell (Level 1 – Level 3): Reservations that upgraded from Level 1 to Level 3 rooms.
Upsell (Level 2 – Level 3): Reservations that upgraded from Level 2 to Level 3 rooms.
All Upsells: The combined sum of all the upsell activity for the day.
The Conversion, Count, and Revenue for each room upgrade is presented below the corresponding header.
o Conversion Rate (Conv.): This percentage is calculated as the total Count (Cnt.) divided by the total number of Guests
o Count (Cnt.): The total number of reservations that purchased a room upsell.
o Revenue (Rev.): The upsell price multiplied by the reservation's number of nights.
Web Check-Ins: A web check-in is a reservation that completes the web check-in steps from their device (phone, tablet, or desktop).o Total: The total number of successful web check-ins.
o Conversion Rate (Conv.): The total number of web check-ins divided by the total number of Guests Sent Email.
Total: Each column’s total is calculated along the bottom of the page.
