Monitor Zest Mobile Check-Ins and Check-Outs

via Staff Alerts and in Rover

Front Office and Housekeeping staff can easily monitor rooms and reservations as guests use Zest mobile check-in and check-out.

MOBILE CHECK-IN

MONITOR ZEST MOBILE CHECK-INS VIA STAFF ALERTS

Hotel staff can receive an email notification verifying guest mobile check-in. The notifications will be sent to staff members whose email addresses are set up to receive the staff alerts on the Zest > Check-in setup page at the bottom in the Web Check-in Staff Alert box.

When Zest Web emails are sent to guests, designated staff will receive a summary email showing the total number of arriving guests who were sent a mobile check in email along with a list of all arriving guests.

As each guest completes mobile check-in, designated staff will receive two emails. Both include the guests’ name. reservation information, ETA, and guest comment (if the guest entered one during the mobile check in process).

The first email notification will be sent to staff as soon
as the guest completes mobile check-in.
The second notification will be sent to staff when Rover
auto checks the guest into their room. The guest
will also receive a room ready notification at this time.

MONITOR MOBILE CHECK-INS VIA ROVER

On the Rover Dashboard, the count for mobile check-in will reflect reservations for guests who have completed mobile check-in and have yet to be auto checked in.

In the list view when mobile check-in is selected, the color of the reservation status icon will change from Green to Orange. Reservations with a downward arrow are today's arrivals, and reservations with a solid orange box are tomorrow's arrivals.

The guest's ETA can be viewed both in the list view and on the stay card. If the guest entered a comment, in addition to seeing it in the staff alert email, it can also be viewed in Notes. Select to open the Notes window.

On the Guest Bill screen, there will be a smartphone icon that can be expanded to view a timestamp for when the guest agreed to the terms and conditions during mobile check-in.

HOUSEKEEPING FILTER FOR MOBILE CHECK-INS

In Rover Housekeeping, the filter may be used to view rooms with Reservation Status Pre-Check-in, which will display rooms already assigned to arriving reservations for guests that have completed mobile check-in.

Alternatively, the Filter option Show Arrival may be used to view all rooms for arriving reservations. Those reservations that display an arrival time are due to arrive at the specified time. If no time appears, then an arrival time has not been set for the guest (see example below).

MOBILE CHECK-OUT

MONITOR ZEST MOBILE CHECK OUTS VIA STAFF ALERTS

Each morning, designated hotel staff will receive an email notification that includes a list of guests who qualified to receive the Zest mobile check-out email invites. This notification will be sent to staff whose email addresses are listed on the Zest > Check-out setup page in the Web Check-out Staff Alerts Email Accounts box. There is a second box for staff members who wish to receive alerts when guests select a late check-out.

When guests are sent their mobile check-out email, designated staff will receive a notification summarizing the number of guests who receive the mobile check-out email along with a list of each guest's name.

If Late Check-out Upsell is turned ON and available, guests will be shown an offer to purchase late check-out.

Designated staff will receive email notifications as guests use Zest Web to purchase a late check-out and as they complete mobile check-out.

MONITOR ZEST MOBILE CHECK OUTS IN ROVER

Late check-out count on the Rover Dashboard shows reservations for guests who purchased a late check-out via Zest Web during mobile check-out.

On the list view, guests with late check-out purchased via Zest Web/Mobile will have an "L" as their reservation status icon, and late check-out time will display next to the departure date.

On the stay card, the late check-out time will also display below the black profile bar.

HOUSEKEEPING FILTER FOR LATE CHECK-OUTS AND DEPARTED GUESTS

In Rover Housekeeping, the list views will show rooms with a departure time that is later than the hotel's departure time. In addition, the housekeeping filter may be utilized to display rooms with later departure times. The guest tab on the Room Details screen will also show the departure time so that staff members will know to hold off until guest's departure to clean the room.

Once a guest has departed, the room status will state "OUT" next to the due out icon (red box with up arrow).
