Zest Mobile Check-out Flow and Setup 


ZEST MOBILE CHECK-OUT

 

Guests who opt to use mobile check-out via email will be asked to first verify their room number in order to proceed. Alternatively, guests may opt to visit a webpage (Direct URL) to enter verification information to proceed.

Guest Mobile Check-Out Flow - After entering verification information, guests can choose to check out now, or select a later check-out if offered and available. 

 

Upsell Opportunities During Check-Out - Offer to check out later will only be offered until max limit is reached when Upsell Late Check-out is turned ON. Max limits can be placed for total number of late check-outs for the day as well as by room type.

GUEST WEB CHECK-OUT SETUP


When first setting up guest web check-out, our recommendation is to save preferred options and then come back to top of page and set times for automated emails to be sent to departing guests.


Only If Reservation is Credit Card GuaranteedMark setting to only allow guests with a credit card method of payment on file to receive Zest check-out email.  


EXCLUDE GUESTS FROM RECEIVING WEB CHECK-OUT EMAILS 


EXCLUDE GUESTS IN SPECIFIED ROOM NUMBERS 


Certain room numbers (such as Owner Rooms) can be excluded. When excluded rooms are pre-blocked to arriving reservations, guests will not receive the check-out email.  


To exclude rooms numbers so arriving guests with assigned rooms do not get the check out email, select the orange chevron arrow to expand the window on the CHECK-OUT EMAIL ROOM EXCLUSION dropdown. 


 

On the expanded window area, select INCLUDED and use the search bar to look up a room number that needs to be excluded, or at bottom of the expanded window area, use the PREV and NEXT buttons, and use the XX to display the selected number of rooms.  



Then mark room numbers that need to be excluded, scroll to the bottom of the page, and SAVE CHANGES.



Now, guests with reservations that have excluded room numbers will not receive the Zest Mobile check-out emails. Also, the number of rooms excluded will display at the top of the dropdown.

 


It is possible to remove a room from being excluded. Go to EXCLUDED and select the room numbers and SAVE CHANGES. This will put them back into the list of INCLUDED room numbers. 


EXCLUDE GUESTS IN FOLLOWING ROOM TYPES FROM EMAIL INVITE


Guest bookings with room types listed under this setting will not be included to receive the check-out email. Use the dropdown to select room types, and then use the EXCLUDE ROOM TYPES button. To remove room type exclusions, use the red X.  

   


WEB CHECK-OUT STAFF ALERT

Mark ALL and enter the email addresses for hotel staff members who should receive an email notification as guests complete web check-out and when guests purchase a late check-out. Use a semicolon between each email address. Staff members will receive an email with a list of all guests who are sent a web check-out email, when guests purchase late check-out, and when guests complete check-out.

ROOM NUMBER VERIFICATION INSTRUCTIONS  

Text entered here will display on the Room Verification page. It is intended for use when there are room numbers with 3 digits, but a 4-digit room number is required (e.g., A 4-digit room number is needed. Please enter 0 at the start of your room number if it is 3 digits).



WEB CHECK-OUT URL 

Similar to the web check-out email, this StayNTouch hotel-specific URL can be used by guests to visit a landing page to enter their stay details (Room Number, Guest Last Name, and Arrival Date) and check-out using their own personal mobile device. To make it easy for guests to access the Zest Web check-out page, a custom URL and QR code may be created. 


           


Encourage guests to use Zest Web by placing collateral with the web check-out URL or QR code in guest rooms and public areas, such as the lobby, hotel shuttle, etc. In addition to increasing your hotel's web check-out conversion rates and freeing up your staff, more guests will be exposed to the late check-out offer, when available, generating even more revenue.

SAVE CHANGES


Be sure to scroll down and press SAVE CHANGES every few minutes to avoid loosing selected settings.  


MANUAL SEND CHECKOUT EMAIL


Use the "Send Check-in Email" link at the top of page to access all guests with an email address who qualify to receive the Zest Web check-out email based on preferred settings. This link can be used when it is necessary to manually trigger Zest Web emails to one, several, or all guests that are listed. Either mark the box next to desired guests’ names or use the box at the top of the page to select all guests. 


AUTOMATED SEND CHECK-OUT NOTIFICATION EMAIL TO ALL DUE OUT GUESTS 


After saving all setup preferences, go back to the top of the check-out setup page and specify two times that the web check-out emails will be sent to departing guests for weekdays and weekends.
