The latest Rover App, Version 1.2.0 should be downloaded on all iPads in order for key creation to work. The IT Manager or Hotel Administrator at your property has access to download version 1.2.0 of the Rover App on the iTunes App Store.

LOCKED USER PASSWORD RESET EMAIL AUTOMATED
It will no longer be necessary for the Hotel Administrator to manually reset a user's password when a user is locked out. After three consecutive failed login attempts, the user will receive an auto-generated email.
User can click on the link in the email and enter the temporary password included in the email on the 'CURRENT PASSWORD' field. Then enter a new password and confirm by re-entering it to access Rover. Use the newly created password moving forward.
Managing users on the User Setup page will be easier. Ability to show a specified number of entries on the screen and ability to search by user's name or email address has been added.
Two new housekeeping filters have been added:
- Room Type
- Late Check-out
Also, when a room number is selected, the room type will display below the room number on the Room Details page.
ALTERNATE ROOM IF ALREADY TAKEN
There can be times while doing a check-in, a room that just got taken for another reservation still shows as available on the Room Assignment page. Instead of only displaying the message 'Room already taken. Please try another room', Rover will attempt to first auto-assign the next available ready room.
ZEST WEB AUTO ASSIGN ROOM BASED ON PREFERENCES
At hotels using the Auto Check-in function, if a reservation with guest preferences (near elevator, high floor, etc.) does not already have a room pre-blocked, Rover will first search for and select an available room with those preferences. If a room with those preferences is not available or if preferences have not been saved in Rover on all room numbers, a ready room without those preferences will be assigned.
ZEST WEB CHECK IN ACCEPT CHARGES TIME STAMP
For reservations checked in via Zest Web, on the Guest Bill page, an icon will be available to access time stamp of when the guest clicked to accept charges and agreed to terms and conditions.
Hotels using a remote key printer or an RFID key encoder will have the ability to make more than four keys. The 'Key' icon on the Stay Card will offer an option to make 'NEW KEYS' and deactivate previously made keys or 'DUPLICATE' to make additional keys without deactivating previously made keys.
REMOVE FROM STAY CARD
If a hotel does not have a hotel loyalty program or does not participate in frequent flyer programs, or does not have wake up calls integrated to the property management system, these options can now be removed from showing on the Stay Card by a Hotel Admin user.
ADD/REMOVE LOYALTY OR FREQUENT FLYER
- Go to Menu -> Settings -> Guest Cards
- Select Frequent Flyer Program or Hotel Loyalty Program
- At top right, turn ON/OFF the 'Use Frequent Flyer' or 'Use Loyalty' setting
ADD/REMOVE WAKE UP CALL
- Go to Menu -> Settings -> Interfaces
- Select Property Interface Setup
- Turn ON/OFF 'Telephone Interface'
Notes can now be accessed via icon at the top of the Stay Card, above the Payment Method area. Icon will display the number of notes. Once selected, pop up window will display existing notes with a box to post a new note.
*The Actions icon is not operational at this time. It will be used in the future to look up Alerts, Specials and Traces.
