Givex Integration to Stayntouch PMS

GIVEX INTEGRATION DETAILS

Stayntouch PMS has the ability to read the amount available on a Givex gift card and use it as payment on a reservation. Once the gift card has been set up in Stayntouch PMS as a payment method, it will be possible enter the gift card number on the payment screen in order to do the following:

Look up amount available on gift card
Apply a portion or the entire amount available as a payment on the guest reservation
Update Stayntouch PMS with the paid amount using the gift card
Update Givex with the new balance remaining

Items to Note:

Gift cards should already be present in Givex, so therefore you do not need to register, activate, or add money to a gift card through Stayntouch PMS.
Stayntouch PMS will keep track of how much was paid using a gift card.
Hotels cannot sell gift cards via Stayntouch. We simply accept Givex gift card as a payment method.
With the Givex integration to Stayntouch PMS, when a guest presents a Givex gift card to the cashier at the time of settlement, the user should enter the Givex gift card number, and the PMS will show the current balance on the card and then use that balance to settle the bill.

If your hotel accepts Givex gift cards, and you would like to request an integration to Stayntouch PMS, please contact Customer Support. Once the integration is arranged, you can then activate the integration within Stayntouch PMS itself.

To activate the Givex integration in Stayntouch PMS, navigate to Settings > Integrations > Givex. From there, turn ON the Activate/Inactivate toggle. You will then be required to enter a USERNAME and PASSWORD, which are provided by Givex. You should then enter a URL and SECONDARY URL. The URL should be https://dc-us2.givex.com:50104/, and the SECONDARY URL should be https://dc-us1.givex.com:50104.

INSTRUCTIONS TO ACTIVATE GIVEX GIFT CARD DIRECTLY ON THE GIVEX PORTAL (INDEPENDENT OF STAYNTOUCH PMS)

The following instructions explain how to activate a Givex gift card for the Givex Administrative Portal. This is not related to Stayntouch PMS. This is directly on the Givex Administrative Portal.

After logging in to Givex Administrative Portal, navigate to Gift Card Program > Transactions > Increment. This should be on the left side of the screen after login to the portal.

Givex also advises clearing browsing history, caches, and cookies before logging into the portal. Givex Administrative Portal can redeem, activate, increment, and check balances.

You can also check reports from the portal from Gift Card Program > Reports > Redemption Report.
