7. Enter your Windows administrator credentials.

8. If you receive a warning message, click on More info.

9. Click Run anyway.

10. Accept all default selections to complete the installation.

11. Select I accept the terms in the license agreement.

12. Leave User Name and Organization blank.

If the issue persists after reinstalling the Rover Service File using the above steps, try restarting your PC.

Option B

Please note, before completing these steps, be sure to log out of StayNTouch Cloud PMS.

1. Check the existing version installed. Search Apps & features, then search Rover Service. It will be a version older than 1.6.0.3 (1.6.01 or 1.6.0.2 or so).

2. Change the system time.

  • Turn OFF Set time automatically.
  • Change Set the date and time manually to December 1, 2020 at 2:57 am.

3. Search Services and locate Rover Service and Rover Update. Restart both services.

4. Once the system time reaches 3:01 am, check the version again from Apps & features.

5. Turn back ON Set time automatically.

6. Search Services and locate Rover Service. Restart it.

7. Open test client from C:/StayNTouch/Rover Service/RoverServiceTestClient.html in Google Chrome and confirm that it is connected. If the status appears connected, then the workstation should be able to communicate with the credit card input device.
