PRODUCT ENHANCEMENTS

Remove Room Type From Rate When No Active Reservations Exist


You can now remove room types from existing rates when there are no active future reservations linked. This can be performed by users that have permission to edit rates. Please note, the following conditions apply:


Future Reservations (Groups and Transient):

  1. If there are future reservations linked to the rate for that specific room type, you will not be able to remove that room type from the rate.

  2. You will need to update the room types for the reservations linked if you still wish to remove the room type from the rate.

  3. If a reservation is cancelled with a rate and room type attached, the room type can be removed. If you wish to reinstate the cancelled reservation, you will be prompted to update the rate (as the rate does not exist for that room type anymore) or update the room type. Room type will remain linked to the reservation.


Past Reservations (Groups and Transient):

  1. Past reservations will not restrict you from removing a room type from a rate. Once room types are removed from a rate, all rate sets will lose the room type rate information. 


Child Rates:

  1. Room type cannot be removed if there is an active reservation linked to a child rate and room type.

  2. If there aren’t any active reservations for a child rate and room type, the room type can be removed from the parent rate.

  3. If a room type was removed from a parent rate, updates will be synced to the child rate, and the room type will be removed from the child rate.

  4. A room type can be removed from a child rate but still exist on the parent rate. 



Reinstating Reservations:

  1. Should a reservation be reinstated, and the room type linked to the reservation doesn’t exist anymore, you will be redirected to the Rooms & Rates screen to choose a new rate for which the room type is available or change the room type on the reservation.



Currency Symbol Removed from CSV Exports


We’ve removed currency symbols from CSV exports for the Comparison Report, Daily Transactions Report, Market Segment Statistics Report, and the Occupancy & Revenue Summary Report to allow for easier spreadsheet operations/formulas. Below are the fields removed for each of the corresponding reports:


Comparison Report:

  • ADR

  • ADR (excluding comp)

  • REVPAR

  • All revenue fields (totals as well as individual TRX groups/codes)

  • All Ledgers & Balances



Daily Transactions Report:

  • All revenue fields for all transactions (including MTD, YTD, and variance)



Market Segment Statistics Report:

  • All revenue fields (including MTD and YTD)

  • ADR (including MTD and YTD)

  • Totals



Occupancy & Revenue Summary:

  • REVPAR

  • ADR (including comp)

  • ADR (excluding comp)

  • Day Use ADR (including comp)

  • Day Use ADR (excluding comp)

  • All revenue fields (charge groups and day use charge groups)

  • Total Revenue

  • Total Day Use Revenue


Room Status Change Due to OOO/OOS Housekeeping Return Status Added to Room Activity Log


Stayntouch PMS will now log an entry in the Room Activity Log if the housekeeping return status is changed to Out of Order or Out of Service. The Room Activity Log will also record the following changes:

  • If a room is manually set back into service, and the housekeeping status is updated due to a configured return status.

  • If an Out of Order/Out of Service status expires upon reaching an end date, and EOD updates the housekeeping status to the configured return status.

  • If an Out of Order/Out of Service with a time component (hourly) expires upon reaching an end date/time, and the housekeeping status is updated to the configured return status.

Guest Mobile Number Added to In-House Guests Report


We’ve added a guest mobile phone number field to the In-House Guests Report. This is an optional field that can be selected at the time of report generation.


When generating the report, you can select a SHOW PHONE NUMBER checkbox (unselected by default) under the OPTION(S) dropdown menu, which will show the primary guest mobile number entered on the guest card.


The guest mobile phone number field will appear on the report in the Reports Inbox and for scheduled reports.
