How to Sync StayNTouch PMS Overlay Business Date with Opera Business Date
If you use Opera as your primary PMS in conjunction with StayNTouch PMS Overlay, there is no End of Day routine in StayNTouch PMS Overlay. The business date on StayNTouch PMS Overlay automatically updates when you run the End of Day in Opera. If the business date has changed in Opera, but the business date in StayNTouch PMS Overlay has still not changed, this is because StayNTouch PMS Overlay business date is not in sync with the Opera business date.
To ensure StayNTouch PMS Overlay business date is synced with Opera business date, navigate to Settings> Integrations > External PMS Web Services > Select TEST CONNECTIVITY.
If you get the message, "Connection valid", then the business date will sync in both StayNTouch PMS Overlay and Opera.
If, however, you get the message, "Invalid", this means there was no interface connection between StayNTouch PMS Overlay and Opera.
If this happens, ask your IT department to restart the OWS Services on the Opera OWS Server. Refer to the services that need to be started in the following guides:
Once the OWS Services are restarted, go back to StayNTouch PMS Overlay, select TEST CONNECTIVITY, and make sure you receive the "Connection valid" message. If you still get an "Invalid" message, report this to you IT department, and they will need to troubleshoot and fix the network connection between StayNTouch PMS Overlay and Opera.
