Comtrol Data Swap Troubleshooting

Data swap will send the base data on all rooms in the hotel to the interface system (e.g., PBX). It will take some time once initiated and is not something that should be run regularly, but rather, something that is there for start of a new hotel or if a PBX needs to be rebooted.

1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Comtrol.

2. Select the DATA SWAP tab and click the green DATA SWAP button.

3. When you select the DATA SWAP button, you will receive a warning message that records from Rover will sync to Comtrol, and this may take some time. Upon selecting CONTINUE, the data swap will move forward.

Once the swap has been verified, you will see the following messages on the LLPTS monitor:

  • 78 type message, which indicates the sync has been started
  • 80 type message, which indicates the data is being synced
  • 82 type message, which indicates the sync has completed
