How to Close Cashier
In order to get the option of submitting the cash and closing the cashier, it is necessary that the cashier has done some financial transactions, either a charge posting or a payment posting. If there are no transactions for the day, it will imply that the cashier has not been opened, and therefore, it will not be necessary to close the cashier. As soon as you make any sort of posting, you will see the close cashier option.
If a hotel staff member has a starting cash amount when they begin their shift, and at the end of their shift, they are not given the option to close their cashier, they should post a charge and then delete the charge. At that point, they will be given the option to close the cashier.
